Under the USDA program, products are considered biobased if they are composed wholly or significantly of biological ingredients - renewable plant, animal, marine or forestry materials.

The icon is easy to recognize and consumers can have confidence in the label because claims about the presence and amount of biobased ingredients are third-party certified and strictly monitored by the USDA.

USDA BioPreferred Program Goals
The core goals of the USDA BioPreferred Program first were introduced in the 2002 Farm Bill:

To spur the development of the biobased industrial base through value-added agricultural processing and manufacturing in rural communities.
To enhance the nation's energy security, by substituting biobased products for fossil energy-based products derived from imported oil and natural gas.
To reduce the nation's environmental impact by promoting products that may be more benign to the environment.

AGGRAND Quick Hay and Pasture Reference

Depending on the results of a soil test, and aside from other amendments that may be required for soil balancing, AGGRAND 4-3-3 Liquid Fertilizer and AGGRAND Liquid Lime should be mixed at the rate of 1 gallon of each per 25 gallons of water and applied with agitation and/or recirculation to one acre of pasture at green-up in spring and after each cutting or grazing period when new growth reaches 4 to 6 inches.

Farmer Increases Winter Wheat and Soybean Yield, Saves Money with AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer

AGGRAND user Phil Wagner of Defiance, Ohio started a comparison study on winter wheat in the fall of 2010. He wanted to see how AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer 4-3-3 incorporated into his existing chemical fertilizer program. He also used it on his soybean crop.

Farmer Realizes 50 Percent Increase in Profit With AGGRAND Fertilizer

Steve Redelman of Decatur, Indiana, has been a farmer since he was 14 years old.

Redelman used AGGRAND Natural Liquid 4-3-3 Fertilizer to plant corn, hay and soybeans in the 2008 growing season.

"I got 102 bales per acre," Redelman said. "I was real happy about it. The hay was nice and green. When I cut the bale open it was nice and green and moist inside, even though the outside was faded. All the protein stayed in the stems and leaves of the alfalfa and grass."

AGGRAND Natural Liquid Fertilizer Generates Outstanding Corn Yield

Richard Ward of Seaman, Ohio was originally featured in 2000 with his success using 4-3-3 on his corn. His corn continues to prosper year after year with AGGRAND Natural Liquid Fertilizer.
